Fingerprint Lie Detector (Android package com.fi.liedetector.lie_detector)
Effective date: 10 August 2026 · Last updated: 10 August 2026

This policy explains what information the Fingerprint Lie Detector app ("the app", "we") handles, why, and what choices you have. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own.

The app does not read fingerprints. Fingerprint Lie Detector is a prank and entertainment app. It does not use any biometric API, does not capture, store, or transmit fingerprint or any other biometric data, and cannot detect lies. The scan animation is theatre and the verdict is random. Nothing about your finger, pulse, or skin is measured or recorded.

1. Who we are

The app is published by Faiz Ikhwan. For any privacy question, contact: me@faizikhwan.com.

2. What the app itself collects

Nothing. We operate no servers and no database. The app does not ask you for a name, email address, phone number, or any other personal detail, and it requests no access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or files.

The only settings the app stores are kept on your device, in the app's own private storage:

These never leave your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data from Android Settings.

3. Third-party services

The app includes Google SDKs that collect data on their own behalf. Their collection is described below, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob (advertising)

The app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob and its ad partners may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, general device information, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, cap how often an ad is shown, and detect invalid traffic. Depending on your consent and settings, ads may be personalised. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the AdMob partner list. The app declares the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission for this purpose.

Google Analytics for Firebase

Collects app usage events (for example, that a scan was started or a result was dismissed), a randomly generated app instance ID, and basic device and session information such as device model, OS version, language, and session length. This tells us how the app is used in aggregate. It does not identify you personally.

Firebase Crashlytics

If the app crashes or freezes, Crashlytics collects a crash report: stack traces, the app state at the time, a Crashlytics installation identifier, and device diagnostics such as model, OS version, and available memory. We use these solely to fix bugs.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone beyond the Google services listed above.

4. Legal basis and consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, personalised advertising and analytics rely on your consent, which is requested on first launch through Google's User Messaging Platform consent form. Crash reporting relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. You may change or withdraw your advertising consent at any time from the privacy options in the app, and you can contact us at the address above to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, or to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

5. Your choices

6. Data retention and deletion

Because the app has no accounts, there is no account to delete. On-device settings are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Analytics and crash data held by Google are retained under Google's retention policies; to request deletion of data associated with your device, email us at the address above and include the approximate date and device model so it can be located.

7. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. It is not part of the Google Play Families programme. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will act on it.

8. Security

All data transmitted by the third-party SDKs listed above is encrypted in transit. No user data is stored on any server we control, because we operate none.

9. International transfers

The Google services used by the app may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's privacy documentation.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's store listing. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
